Assistance with scenarios, deal structuring, pushing deals through to meet deadlines and help liaising with Credit.

What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite part of the job is supporting brokers in running their own businesses. I think the most valuable thing I do is working closely with them to understand those businesses in order to have a good knowledge of the service they provide, their level of industry knowledge and the expectations given to their clients so I can tailor the support I provide them.

What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?
The best brokers to deal with are the ones that are organised and have all their facts when they call you with a scenario.

Describe your ideal weekend:
Going away for the weekend, preferably to a place near the beach.

What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
Not long ago a broker called me to ask if a customer’s “collection of stamps” could be classed as genuine savings. I couldn’t get the Insurers on board with that.

How do you like your steak done?
Brazilian BBQ’d
