BDM in the spotlight: Natalie White-Dunn
FAST BDM for Perth, Natalie White-Dunn, has been in the industry for over 20 years

BDM in the spotlight asks a different BDM the same questions – giving you a weekly insight into the lives of some of the top BDMs in the country.

How often do you see brokers in a week:
On an average, I would see around 7 - 10 brokers a week face to face. However, I have many more conversations with them as part of my routine for providing them support.

What do brokers want most from you:
I feel that what most brokers are looking for is a good response time and good support. The support they are looking for can vary from time to time like support for their business, good knowledge of current market conditions or guidance on lender policy changes, lender appetite, compliance, software etc.  I do my best to provide tailored support based on what they need from me at the time to help them achieve their business goals.

What is the favourite part of the job:
I really enjoy the people part of what I do. I have developed some excellent relationships over time and it’s the mutual trust and respect from these relationships that drives me each day. You get a great sense of accomplishment if you are able to provide brokers with something of value that they can take away and implement in their business.

What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?
At FAST I am lucky enough to be dealing with experienced, motivated, long-term brokers and successful business owners, who keep the customer at the forefront of everything they do. They stand out from the pack by embracing diversification and ensuring they offer their clients a full finance offering that includes Residential, Commercial and Equipment Finance. This helps them maintain enduring and valuable relationships with their clients as their financial needs change with life and business circumstances.

Describe your ideal weekend.
Spending time with family, friends and my dog Nestle (Chocolate Labrador).  Anything near or on the water in the sunshine if possible.

What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
I was once asked to look at an embalming and taxidermy operation. Strange but someone has to do it right!

What's your top time saving tip and how much time does it save you?
Utilising your Sales and CRM tools to their potential, combined with a daily planner (to do list).

How do you like your steak done?
Fillet steak, medium
