LMG announces inaugural top 100 female brokers

Australia’s largest aggregator LMG has revealed its Top 100 female brokers just ahead of International Women’s Day on Friday, March 8.

Topping LMG’s inaugural Leading Ladies list was Loan Market Geelong City managing director Sarah Thomson (pictured above left), who took the No.1 spot in recognition of the number of clients she serviced in 2023.

A multi-award winning broker and champion of women in finance, Thomson settled 387 deals over the 12-month period. In Thomson’s brokerage, 95% of her 20-strong team are women.

Thomson also regularly features on MPA’s Top 100 Brokers list, including in 2023, and was also a recipient of an Elite Women award in 2023.

LMG said Thomson had driven a customer service movement within her office that had generated more than 700 Google My Business reviews, putting the business on the shopping list of every borrower in the region.

Second on the Top 100 list was Sue Vuong (pictured above centre) from Loan Market in Perth, while in third spot was LMG Partner business owner Melissa Wright (pictured above right) from Zest Mortgage Solutions in Queensland, who also made MPA’s Elite Women list in 2023.

LMG has now revealed the full Top 100 Leading Ladies list - you can find all the winners here.

Leading Ladies’ key achievements

LMG said the key achievements of the top women brokers on the list included:

●            a median number of annual settlements of 110 for the Top 100 (with the Top 50 recording a median of 142);

●            a median value of annual settlements of $55.9 million for the Top 100 (the Top 50’s median was $70.8m);

●            Victoria/Tasmania accounted for the highest number of brokers in the list (36%) followed by NSW (22%), Queensland (18%), Western Australia (13%), and South Australia/Northern Territory (10%).

LMG Leading ladies president and national director of growth Suzi Trajanovski (pictured below) said the Top 100 Female Brokers list underlined the growth that women in the network were achieving.

“These women are managing huge numbers of clients who benefit from a customer service offering that is simply unmatched,” Trajanovski said.

“They’re benefitting from LMG’s culture of growing collectively, whether it’s through our Leading Ladies community or other local support groups and growth services.”

The LMG Top 100 female broker ranking has been unveiled ahead of International Women’s Day, with state-based events planned across the country on Friday, March 8. This year’s theme is #InspireInclusion, which aligns with the United Nations IWD message,  “Count Her In”.

This year, LMG said it was supporting charities at its state-based IWD events that focus on supporting women in financial hardship including including Dressed for Success, St Kilda Mums, The Zahra Foundation and The Forgotten Women.
