"The Sheel feel"

MPA Rising Star has already won accolades for his work as a mortgage broker

"The Sheel feel"

Shubham Bhaskar arrived in Australia in 2007 at the age of 18 as an international student. Working in sales to support his studies led him to the mortgage industry, and, in 2021, to the founding of his own brokerage, Sheel Capital. Bhaskar’s hard work and command of finance also led to his inclusion on MPA’s 2022 Rising Stars list.

After moving to Australia, Bhaskar spent close to a decade working in Westpac’s business and retail sector, focusing on SME portfolio management, acquisitions, transactional banking, lending and debt restructuring. Showing exemplary communication skills and a flair for helping customers attain their financial goals, Bhaskar decided to become a mortgage broker. He has since built a diverse client base that includes first-home buyers, commercial and residential property investors, and trading businesses.

Despite founding Sheel Capital just last year, Bhaskar has already won industry accolades for his data-driven expertise and his ability to craft customised solutions for his customers.

Bhaskar said that giving more than one takes is an integral part of Sheel Capital’s philosophy. With that in mind, Sheel Capital donates yearly to a not-for-profit organisation. So far, the company has contributed to a charity that supports providing value-based education, and it also aims to support an organisation that helps the homeless.
