CMP is pleased to announce the winners from the 13th annual Canadian Mortgage Awards brought to you by the Coalition of Independent Mortgage Brokers of Canada.
Industry professionals came from across the country to attend the biggest ever Canadian Mortgage Awards night at The Liberty Grand ballroom in Toronto. All eyes were fixed on the stage as the honourees took home the industry’s most coveted prizes.
Tuxes, cocktail dresses and a few adventurous dance moves were spotted at the event. So, too, were hundreds of the industry’s top professionals, who eagerly anticipated the announcement of this year’s lucky winners, which included CanWise Financial, winner of Brokerage of the Year (25 or More Employees), and Centum Home Lenders’ Clinton Wilkins, who won Broker of the Year (Fewer than 25 Employees).
“Competing at the national level from Halifax, which is considered a small market, is amazing,” said Wilkins, who did 402 transactions last year. “We’re doing a lot of good things in Halifax and bringing an award like this home is amazing.”
It was a night of rapturous celebration, especially for Dominion Lending Centres, the winner of National Broker Network of the Year for three consecutive years.
“Relentless devotion to having excellence being served at all levels, whether it’s broker engagement, our ownership engagement, delivering tools and technology, our advertising and marketing, it’s about being excellent,” said DLC’s Dave Teixeira. “Good is not good enough in 2019 and it’s about getting to the next level. Winning this award three years in a row is exciting, but when we’ve won it 33 years in a row we’ll know we’ve hit it.”
Added, DLC President Eddy Cocciollo: “If we keep differentiating ourselves from the competition, we’ll keep winning.”
Overall, the awards cut a wide swath across the financial industry, with winners in 22 categories drawn from all over Canada. It was produced by KMI Publishing and Events – the organization behind CMP.
