NZ Adviser has announced the Top Brokerages of 2023. These leading brokerages have demonstrated their ability to adapt to market changes and provide consistent, high-quality service to their clients.
To be eligible, brokerages needed one or more loan writers in a single office headquartered in New Zealand. The applicants’ aggregators were also asked to verify the details submitted.
The nominees were evaluated across four areas – total loan book size, average settlements per loan writer, total settlements in the specified 12-month period, and conversion rates.
The 2023 report also discusses the current challenges brokerages face and highlights those who have shown their expertise and resilience in a difficult market. Some obstacles mentioned are new bank technology, compliance changes and economic uncertainty.
The winners share the importance of understanding their advisers’ skill sets and specialties, matching them with the right clients, knowing their clients and lenders, acting as matchmakers, and maintaining strong relationships with lenders to ensure a successful business.
