It's almost time for mortgage advisers to mingle and celebrate

Get ready to meet up with your colleagues and peers at the 2023 New Zealand Mortgage Awards.

In an event first, the live ceremony provides a unique opportunity for mortgage advisers, lenders, business development managers, clients and the wider finance industry to unite and celebrate success.

Tickets are selling fast for the New Zealand Mortgage Awards, which will take place on Thursday, April 27, at the Hilton Auckland, 147 Quay Street.

Bluestone head of sales Sue Griffiths (pictured above left) said that the non-bank lender, along with its white label product Select, was “extremely proud” to be the official event partner for the awards once again.

“Recognising and celebrating outstanding achievement in our industry is always important, but perhaps even more so in the current climate,” Griffiths said.

Griffiths congratulated the  2023 excellence awardees,  featuring 64 finalists across 11 award categories, for their well-earned recognition and thanked them for their contribution to the industry.

In addition to Bluestone and Select, the 2023 New Zealand Mortgage Awards are supported by event sponsors Avanti Finance, First Mortgage Trust, Mike Pero Mortgages and Prospa.  ASB Bank is also backing the NZMAs as associate sponsor.

Radio personality Leah Panapa (pictured above right) is hosting the event. Two-piece ensemble Mark Cunningham and Allister Meffan, better known as ‘Mark & Allister’, will set the mood with pieces inspired by jazz chords, hip-hop beats and soulful bluesy riffs.

Organised by Key Media and supported by NZ Adviser, the awards ceremony will be held from 6pm to 8pm and will include drinks and canapés.  With just two week to go until the event date, tickets are selling fast.

In the current environment of rising mortgage interest rates and declines in property prices, mortgage advisers are increasingly called upon to educate borrowers on lending criteria and managing increased repayments.

It what is shaping up to be a challenging yet rewarding year for the industry, the NZMAs is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the successes of advisers and brokerages, along with BDMs and lenders.
