Network to hold later life lending round table workshop for advisers

The Later Life Lending Network, which is part of the Right Mortgage and Protection Network, will hold a round table workshop for its sector specialists on 1st May.

The event is for advisers in the later life lending space to find out more about growing their propositions.

To be held at 10am at Copt Heath Golf Club in Knowle, the event will feature presentations and interactive round tables from later life lending providers, discussing developments within the sector. The workshop will also outline market opportunities and allow participants to exchange ideas.

Directors and other staff of the Later Life Lending Network will support attendees, whether they are already offering later life advice, interested in knowing how to become qualified, or those who want to find referral partners.

Participants will develop their understanding of the market and the potential customer base, said Victoria Clark (pictured), head of equity release at The Right Mortgage and Protection Network.

Clark noted that older homeowners are using their biggest asset to meet their financial needs, thus paving the way for more demand for later life lending.

“Whether it is using this money to support themselves or their families, whether it is to meet ongoing living costs or pay for care, whether it is providing greater level of income in retirement or paying off an interest-only mortgage, there are clear issues that can potentially be solved via later life lending advice,” she said.

“We as a network specialise in this space and wish to continue to drive awareness to our other network members.”

The May round table workshop will have a networking lunch for delegates who will also receive continuing professional development points for their attendance.
