Churchill Mortgage announces new C-suite executive

Churchill Mortgage has boosted its C-suite team with the appointment of Darren Shaffer (pictured) as chief technology officer.

In his new role, Shaffer will lead Churchill’s digital transformation and its entire technology team. Additionally, he will oversee the lender’s enterprise technology platform and services, leading the design, creation and implementation of world-class systems that better drive efficiency, support growth, and inspire retention and recruitment efforts.

According to the company’s Press release, Shaffer plans to “build upon the company’s existing partnerships and continue the evolution of a unified loan application experience with complete transparency from whatever device the borrower chooses.”

“Our company has worked with Darren on a few projects in the past, and we were instantly impressed with his attention to detail, positive attitude and wealth of experience in developing superior tech systems,” said Churchill Mortgage chief operating officer Matt Clarke. “We’re confident he’s the right person to have at the helm as we elevate the overall user experience and technology platforms at Churchill to new heights.”

Throughout his 30+ year career, Shaffer has developed more than 117 enterprise systems and has held senior technology positions at Wal-Mart Information Systems, Oracle, Navidec, and Microsoft. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and chief technology officer at Cherry Creek Mortgage.
