New feature will help homebuyers configure an ideal and affordable home

In the increasingly-competitive world of home listings, realtor.com hopes to shake things up with a new interactive tool.
The platform has announced Price Perfect, which allows homebuyers to make adjustments and how they impact costs, to find the sweet spot of ideal home and affordability.
"Affordability is one of the biggest considerations and decision-making factors for home shoppers," Brad Sivert, general manager and head of mortgage for realtor.com told MPA. "Price Perfect is the very first solution that not only empowers homebuyers, it actually helps people understand their buying power by adding or subtracting home features to find the right home with the right features at the right price."
It means homebuyers can see how adjusting their basic search criteria – by adding another bathroom or bedroom for example – will impact the cost of homes in their desired neighborhood.
They will be shown the monthly payment for the median-priced home broken down by mortgage, property taxes and insurance. With a quick click of the "See Homes" button, they can view all the homes on realtor.com that meet all their specific search criteria.
The technology is able to update costs of features to reflect current market conditions.
