Former Freddie Mac EVP joins Stearns Lending

Stearns Lending has filled appointed mortgage veteran David Lowman to its board of managers.

Lowman spent more than six years of his 40-year career serving as executive vice president of Freddie Mac’s single-family business. Before Freddie, he led Chase Home Lending as CEO.

Lowman also worked for a decade at Citigroup, where he held various executive positions and oversaw the growth and transformation of the company’s US and global consumer lending businesses.

“As we enter our next 30 years in the mortgage industry, the appointment of Dave to the Stearns board will provide a unique mortgage perspective to build upon the strong foundation our Board has established,” Stearns CEO David Schneider said. “I have known Dave for nearly 20 years and look forward to working with him to support our growth plan.”

“I am excited by the opportunity to work closely with Blackstone and the Stearns Lending executive team to help the company achieve its strategic objectives,” Lowman said. “Stearns is a unique platform that is well-positioned to grow organically and through additional partner relationships.”
