HomeServices of America acquires Nebraska-based real estate company

Berkshire Hathaway affiliate HomeServices of America has announced its acquisition of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ambassador Real Estate, an Omaha, Neb.-based provider of real estate and title services.

The deal also covers an ownership interest in Ambassador Title Services. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

A residential real estate brokerage company, HomeServices of America provides homeownership services including brokerage, mortgage, franchising, title, escrow, insurance, and relocation services through its operating companies.

Ambassador Real Estate has 630 sales associates operating in five sales offices. In 2017, the company closed more than $2.1 billion in sales volume. The company’s president, Vince Leisey, and the existing executive team and sales managers will continue to lead strategic planning and growth initiatives as well as manage day-to-day operations.

“I am thrilled to join HomeServices’ family of companies,” Leisey said. “When you combine the exceptional culture that is the core of Ambassador’s productivity and success with HomeServices’ commitment to delivering exceptional service to its buyers and sellers and its unsurpassed growth opportunities, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.”

With the transaction, HomeServices now has almost 43,000 real estate professionals operating in nearly 900 offices across 30 states. The acquisition also expands the company’s presence in the Omaha and Lincoln markets.

“Vince brings strategic vision, an innovative spirit and proven leadership qualities and, together with his team of sales managers and agents, has built an extraordinary organization,” HomeServices Chairman and CEO Ron Peltier said.
