Brian Giardino was previously vice president at Radian Guaranty
New Britain Mortgage has announced that Brian Giardino has joined the firm as CEO.
Giardino joins the company from Radian Guaranty, where he was vice president.
“Our priority is to serve our members and the local region. We want to introduce a community lending platform that is trusted, convenient, and simple,” Giardino said. “And, as a subsidiary of a non-profit credit union, we can do just that.”
The Pennsylvania-based mortgage company is a subsidiary of Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union.
Giardino brings to the role almost 25 years of experience in financial services and mortgage lending. While at Radian Guaranty, he reported directly to the COO and led the operations, planning, and delivery groups. Giardino also managed the company’s initiative and tactical roadmap, chaired the executive leadership strategic roundtable, and served as a senior advisor and board liaison.
Earlier in his career, Giardino led operations and underwriting groups with banking and mortgage origination firms such as ING Direct, GMAC Bank, and PHH Mortgage.
