The Closing Exchange deploys "COVID-preventative" signing options

The Closing Exchange has launched Curbside Closing, a mobile signing option for title agents and lenders to help them serve customers during the coronavirus crisis.

At a time when social distancing is a must, Curbside Closing allows the signers to sign documents at their preferred time and place while abiding by the  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's social distancing guidelines.

The Closing Exchange CEO Alan Frelix said that there would be a barrier between the signer and the agent during the entire signing process.

"Our Curbside Closing option allows the signer(s) to sign the documents at a convenient place and time without the need for a signing agent to enter the signer's home or to meet face-to-face without a protective barrier," Frelix said. "The Closing Exchange and our network of trained signing agents across the US are pleased to be able to extend this service to title agents, lenders and homebuyers and sellers as they strive to continue with life and creating some level of normalcy during the COVID-19 outbreak."
