Appointee promoted in recognition of his interactions with members and knowledge of the industry

MBA names new VP of commercial and multifamily policy

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has named Bruce Oliver as vice president of commercial and multifamily policy.

In this role, Oliver will lead MBA's advocacy efforts on policy issues regarding commercial real estate finance.

Before joining MBA four years ago, Oliver served as director of financial services regulatory advisory practice at PwC. Oliver has also spent 18 years at Freddie Mac. He served as the firm's managing associate general counsel, safety and soundness regulation from 1993 to 2009 and later as compliance regulatory director before resigning in 2011.

"Bruce is one of the most dedicated, intelligent, and effective colleagues committed to his craft," said Mike Flood, senior vice president of commercial and multifamily policy and member engagement.

"His interactions with our CMF members and knowledge of the industry are just a few reasons why he has earned this promotion."
