“Staying true” makes broker one of the most prolific in Australia

Taking second spot in MPA’s run down of Top 100 Brokers in 2018 and 2017 undoubtedly makes Australian Lending and Investment Centre (ALIC) director Mark Davis one of the country’s most prolific loan writers. His secret, he told MPA, is work ethics and staying true to his business model.

“We are different in how we specialise and do what is needed to stay on the game,” he added. “Our persistence, work ethics, drive and motivation to only lend for the right reasons make us stand out from the rest.”

ALIC specialises in creating investment lending structures for clients who want to create wealth. Strategy-focused, the brokerage adopts a holistic approach when creating complex loan structures to ensure the best financial outcomes. Their clients are risk-takers who seek long-term wealth creation via smart lending structures.

Despite having already written thousands of loans worth over hundreds of millions since becoming a broker, Davis still feels the impact of regulation and lender policy changes. To continuously improve customer experience and drive productivity, his team adapts to these changes, triples their communication efforts with clients and gets training for two years on all aspects of lending to become “Australia’s elite.”

In the future, Davis is looking at implementing a sustainable model that would balance out his revenues and processing expenses and still make his team a top industry performer. He plans to get there with more trainings and by onboarding more staff, particularly in the Philippines, who wants to be the best in the industry.
