Axia Home Loans appoints president of retail sales

Axia Home Loans has announced the appointment of Dan Shanahan as president of retail sales.

Shanahan has nearly 30 years of mortgage experience. He assumes his new role after a 17-year tenure at Huntington National Bank, where he most recently served as senior vice president, mortgage retail division manager.

At Axia, Shanahan will spearhead the company’s sales team, leading efforts to sustain and enhance its growth trajectory.

Axia CEO Alex Rosenblum commented on Shanahan’s appointment and said he was the “ideal person to lead our protection team” due to his “extensive experience and proven track record of success in the mortgage industry.”

“We are confident that he will play a key role in our continued success,” Rosenblum added.

Shanahan’s background includes experience in sales strategy, business planning, and relationship building. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Eastern Illinois University.

“Axia has a strong reputation for providing exceptional service to its customers, and I am committed to building on that tradition,” said Shanahan. “Our aim is to continue filling the organization with excellent LOs who are passionate about helping homeowners.”

Axia Home Loans was founded in 2007 and is now a fully employee-owned company. It is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington and has locations across 13 other states.

Back in 2020, Axia launched a wholesale division called Unified Reliance Wholesale (UR Wholesale).
