National Association of Realtors hires two new leaders in marketing and IT

The National Association of Realtors has appointed Roland Varesko as vice president of digital strategy and Faisal Ghuari as vice president of the IT department.

The new additions will focus on improving and increasing NAR’s member engagement and satisfaction. Varesko, who has over 20 years of digital marketing experience, will be responsible for the development and delivery of the organization’s digital presence and user experience across all digital platforms. He most recently served as president of marketing firm Ecendant Interactive.

“Roland brings a wealth of experience to lead and improve digital strategy for our marketing, communications and events management team,” said Victoria Gillespie, chief marketing and communications officer at NAR. “With Roland’s unique skill set, he will add depth to our digital capabilities and continue to strengthen members’ experiences with NAR through a variety of communication channels based on user preferences.”

Ghuari will oversee the security and business strategy of NAR’s IT systems. He will also implement new technologies and manage current system upgrades while ensuring compliance. Ghuari has more than 18 years of experience in strategic initiatives, enterprise architecture, and leading culturally-diverse teams.

“My new role at NAR provides numerous exciting opportunities to use my expertise with user experience and digital platforms to help provide members and consumers with the best experience possible when they interact with our brand,” Varesko said. “I look forward to optimizing NAR’s digital presence and expanding on platforms developed by our current team to provide the greatest results for our members.”

“Faisal is the ideal candidate to lead NAR’s IT systems,” said John Pierpoint, NAR’s senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer of NAR. “His prior experiences successfully leading global teams and implementing new technology is [are] unparalleled.”
